Description

Everyone wants to be fast and accurate with a pistol. This comprehensive 2-day course gives you the skills to do just that, get much faster without sacrificing accuracy. The class starts with Advanced Application of Pistol Fundamentals laying the groundwork for every handgun shooter, regardless of skill level. Day one delves deep into drawing techniques and precision shooting. Through tailored drills and exercises, students refine their draw and shooting skills, gaining confidence and the ability to put a round exactly where they want them to go, on demand.

Building upon this groundwork, Day 2 is designed to build speed while not sacrificing any of the students new found accuracy skills. Learn to enhance speed in all shooting aspects and translate it into consistently accurate hits, with a focus on timer work, draw mechanics, and responsible accuracy. By the end, participants of all levels will not only be faster and more accurate with their pistols but they will also have a clearer understanding of how to increase speed and accuracy by possessing the skills to create personalized 'range plans' for independent practice.

Equipment Needed

  • All students will need to wear body armor during the class.

  • Serviceable semi-automatic pistol (9mm or larger caliber) and at least three magazines

  • Quality belt with strong side holster and at least 1 magazine pouch or Duty Belt

  • Serpa holsters or similar holsters that use the trigger finger to deactivate a retention device are NOT allowed

  • Be able to retain 2 magazines on your body

  • 3-5 magazines of 10 round capacity (minimum)

  • 1000 rounds of dependable ammunition (minimum). No steel core, no armor piercing, no tracer.

  • Knee pads (optional)

  • Eye protection, hearing protection (electronic recommended) and baseball cap and cleaning equipment.

  • Food, water for hydration, snacks, and weather appropriate outdoor clothing.

Range Notes:

  • LUNCH: The closest eating establishments are 24 minutes away round trip. Please pack a lunch. The range facility has microwaves.

  • It's highly recommended to bring a chair.
