Description

Green Ops Patrol Carbine Level 1 is the first course in a two-level, 10-hour training program designed specifically for patrol officers and school resource officers (SROs) who carry a rifle in the line of duty. This 5-hour class prepares officers to deploy their duty rifle with speed, precision, and accountability in high-stakes environments, including active threats, school incidents, and densely populated areas.

Training Objectives

This course focuses on essential rifle skills applied under stress-induced conditions, incorporating physical exertion and cognitive load to simulate the real-world demands of modern patrol work. Officers will learn to deliver accurate, defensible shots in scenarios where bystanders may be present—developing skills directly applicable to patrol and SRO responsibilities.

Instructor Cadre

This course is taught by a team of former SWAT officers, Special Operations Forces (SOF) veterans, and nationally ranked competitive shooters, combining real-world operational experience with cutting-edge performance shooting instruction.

Equipment Needed

  • Duty carbine with mounted optic (RDS or LPVO)

  • Sling (2-point preferred)

  • 3+ magazines with ability to retain with duty belt or armor

  • 300 rounds of dependable ammunition (minimum). No steel core, no armor piercing, no tracer.

  • Knee pads (optional)

  • Water for hydration and snacks

  • Eye protection, hearing protection (electronic recommended) and baseball cap.

Course Progression

Patrol Carbine Level 1 (5 hours) is the first half of the Green Ops Patrol Carbine training program. Students who successfully complete Level 1 are eligible to attend Patrol Carbine Level 2 (5 hours), which expands on these core skills with more complex applications including vehicles, structures, and decision-making.
