Description

Green Ops Patrol Carbine Level 2 is the second and final course in our 10-hour patrol rifle training program, designed for patrol officers and school resource officers who deploy a rifle in the line of duty. This 5-hour course builds on the foundational skills introduced in Level 1, challenging students with more complex, dynamic environments that demand higher levels of movement, decision-making, and accountability.

Training Objectives

Officers will engage in vehicle-based scenarios, one-man structure clearing, and performance drills under cognitive and physical stress. This course is designed to replicate real-world operational challenges faced by patrol officers and SROs, reinforcing confident and defensible rifle use in environments where innocent parties may be present.

  • Use of cover and unconventional shooting positions

  • Close-range snap shooting and throttle control

  • One-man CQB and structure clearing techniques

  • Target discrimination in confined environments

  • Small team movement and solo problem-solving

  • Capstone stress drills replicating real-world engagements

Instructor Cadre

This course is taught by a team of former SWAT officers, Special Operations Forces (SOF) veterans, and nationally ranked competitive shooters, combining real-world operational experience with cutting-edge performance shooting instruction.

Equipment Needed

  • Duty carbine with mounted optic (RDS or LPVO)

  • Sling (2-point preferred)

  • 3+ magazines with ability to retain with duty belt or armor

  • 300 rounds of dependable ammunition (minimum). No steel core, no armor piercing, no tracer.

  • Knee pads (optional)

  • Water for hydration and snacks

  • Eye protection, hearing protection (electronic recommended) and baseball cap.

Prerequisite

Completion of Green Ops Patrol Carbine Level 1 is required.

Course Completion

Upon successful completion, students will have enhanced confidence, precision, and control in deploying their carbine in high-risk environments—whether working alone or as part of a team. Completion of both levels may be eligible for CEU or in-service credit with agency approval.
