Tactical Carbine Course (8 HRS)
Prerequisite: This class requires a more intense safety awareness and advanced mechanics. We require either Defensive Carbine 1 and 2 OR a comparable course from a reputable company. Given the compressed nature of the curriculum and the types of drills we will shoot you must be able to display a strong understanding of safe handling and mechanics.
Description
The focus of this class is to teach students to employ their carbine efficiently in defensive or duty based roles. The individual performance and personal diagnostic techniques used will empower students to understand how to train on your own, giving the students a path towards improvement. The course will include a heavy focus on body position, shooting mechanics beginning from static performance to shooting on the move and the metrics to measure improvement. Also included will be discussion regarding the balance of performance measured against tactical constraints which force us to consider our mechanics, handling and mental processes. Founded in kinesthetic science and reinforced by real world experience, this course continues to build on the foundations of rifle employment to better equip students for the real world use of a carbine.
